What is it?

The HRC Roof™ is our trademarked, conservation-grade roofing system. You’re buying a finished product with a repeatable spec—not a finger-in-the-air re-roof.

  • Scaffolding (project-specific setup)

  • Strip & remove existing coverings

  • Salvage and reuse of original slate (where sound)

  • Removal of old valleys (lead/copper as applicable)

  • Rebuild valley timbers with correct falls

  • New 0.6 mm copper valleys (period-correct)

  • High-quality breather membrane (Roofshield by Don & Low)

  • New counter-battens & battens fixed to correct centres (stainless/copper fixings)

  • Full re-slate (original slate reused where possible)

  • Copper chimney flashings (traditional)

  • HRC firewall (copper separation at party walls) or HRC Inline Firewall (hidden internal firewall for continuous terraces)

  • Lime-bedded clay ridge tiles (no cement)

  • Replacement/upgrade of outlets

  • Cast iron or cast aluminium rainwater goods (no plastic)

  • Re-bedding of copings/cappings
  • Replacement of cast iron/aluminium gutters & downpipes beyond standard allowance
